Sweetwater ISD is eligible for ESSER III funds which are federal funds to address the impact that COVID-19 has had and continues to have on elementary and secondary schools. The intent and purpose of the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund (ESSER III) is to help safely reopen and sustain the safe operation of schools and address the impact of the coronavirus pandemic on students. 

Sweetwater ISD has been allocated approximately $5.1M from ESSER III funds for the grant period beginning March 20, 2020 through September 30, 2024. We have a comprehensive, working plan to holistically tackle our needs. Our plan is informed by feedback, research, and a commitment to ensuring every student in Sweetwater ISD is prepared for success.
