SISD is proud to recognize Head Athletic Trainer, Tyler Lucas. Tyler comes to Sweetwater from Abilene Cooper High School where he served as one of their Athletic Trainers for 5 years. Tyler has in impressive resume, serving as the Head Athletic Trainer for Cisco College and Brenham High School. Tyler received his Bachelor of Science degree from Abilene Christian University in 2014 and earned his Master of Science degree from Stephen F. Austin State University in 2017. Tyler is both licensed in the State of Texas and certified by the National Board of Certification as an Athletic Trainer. Tyler is happily married to Michaela Lucas, who works at Hendrick Medical Center as a Labor and Delivery Nurse in Abilene. Tyler and Michaela have 1 son, Jacob “Jake” Lucas, 2 dogs and 1 cat. The Lucas family moved to Sweetwater in June 2024.
